Clinton Chapman gets MVP of the Week award for West Asia Super League

Experienced American Clinton Chapman (208-F/C-1989, agency: Diamond Sports) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Kazma and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 34-year old power forward had a double-double of 26 points and 19 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Al Shamal (#4, 0-6) with 57-point margin 119-62. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Kazma is placed at 2nd position in West Asia Super League. Kazma is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. In the team's last game Chapman had a remarkable 86.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kazma's top player in his first season with the team. The University of Texas graduate has very impressive stats this year. Chapman is in league's top in points (9th best: 22.2ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.7rpg) and averages solid 1.7bpg and 65.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Kazma's star - young point guard Ahmad Albaloushi (182-PG-1990). Albaloushi impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 11 assists. Of course together with Chapman he helped Kazma with another comfortable win outscoring Al Shamal (#4, 0-6) 119-62. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Kazma consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 3-3 record is not bad at all. Albaloushi is a newcomer at Kazma and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Kikanovic (211-C-1988) of top-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut. Kikanovic showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al Riyadi, leading his team to a 120-90 easy win against #2 ranked Al Shurtah. Al Riyadi started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Kikanovic turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Kikanovic has a great season in West Asia Super League. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.8ppg (6th best).
